Interactive AI Lessons: Spark Creativity with AI-Powered Storytelling

We're thrilled to introduce Interactive AI Lessons, a brand-new way for students to explore creativity and storytelling with the help of AI! These engaging lessons let students build unique stories and bring them to life with custom AI-generated illustrations.

What Are They?

These lessons are guided creative experiences powered by TypeAI. Students make choices to fill in story prompts, watch their ideas come together as a complete narrative, and then see their creation transformed into a one-of-a-kind illustration.

Each lesson walks students through three simple steps:

• Watch the Video: A short introduction explains how AI can be a creative partner.

• Read the Lesson: Students learn key concepts about working with AI for creative projects.

• Create Your Story: The fun part! Students select options to build out their story and generate a custom illustration.

How Does It Work?

Students are presented with fill-in-the-blank prompts where they choose from pre-set options to shape their story. For example, they might select a world setting, magical creatures, materials, and daily events to craft a fantasy tale. Once they've made their selections, TypeAI generates a short story based on their choices.

From there, students can refine their narrative by adding new elements or changing details. When they're happy with the result, they choose an art style and TypeAI creates a custom illustration to match!

Building Digital Literacy Through Creativity

Beyond sparking imagination, these lessons introduce students to important concepts about artificial intelligence. Students learn how AI can serve as a creative partner, helping with brainstorming, world-building, descriptive language, and story enhancement, while understanding that they remain in control of the creative vision.

This hands-on experience demystifies AI in an age-appropriate way, showing students how to collaborate with technology rather than simply consume content created by it.

Available Lessons

Each grade band has its own tailored lesson designed for that age group. Content is automatically adjusted based on the student's curriculum level:

• AI and Creativity: Fantasy Story Creation (Grades 2-5): Build a magical world filled with fantastical creatures and watch it come to life.

• Wildlife Biologist Discovery (Grades 6-8): Create and document a brand-new species as a wildlife biologist.

• Fantasy Travel Destination (Grades 9-12): Design an imaginative travel guide for a place that exists only in your imagination.

Safe and Student-Friendly

We've designed these experiences with student safety in mind. All prompts use pre-set options, meaning students select from curated choices rather than typing free-form text. This ensures that every story and illustration generated is appropriate for the classroom.
