Archive Classes: Organize Your Portal While Preserving Student Progress

Great news, teachers! We've just rolled out a powerful new feature to help you organize your teacher portal without losing any valuable student data. The new Archive Classes feature lets you clean up your class list while preserving all student progress and maintaining their access to Typing.com.

What's New?

Previously, you had to keep all your classes visible in your portal — even old ones from previous semesters or years. This cluttered your class list and made it harder to focus on your current, active instruction.

Now, you can archive classes, moving them out of your main view while keeping all student data intact. Your archived classes are safely stored in a dedicated section, ready for you to access anytime or restore with just a single click.

How Does It Work?

It's straightforward for you to archive and unarchive a class:

1. Navigate to your Classes page

2. Select the class(es) you want to archive using the checkboxes

3. Click the Bulk Actions dropdown menu

4. Choose "Archive" from the options

5. Confirm your choice in the popup window

The archived classes will instantly move to a dedicated "Archived Classes" section. You can restore any archived class at any time, and students from archived classes continue to have access to Typing.com as individual users.

Where Can You Find It?

This new archiving feature is available right now in your teacher portal. Simply navigate to your Classes section to start organizing your class list and experience a cleaner, more focused workspace.
