And school computer and laptop keyboards are a haven for bacteria. One way to make sure that you and your students stay as healthy as possible, is to keep your school\u2019s computer keyboards clean and germ free.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Obviously, you can\u2019t just wipe it down with a wet cloth &#8211; keyboards are electrical devices and shouldn\u2019t get wet. In addition, dirt and grime aren\u2019t just on the surface &#8211; they\u2019re also between the crevasses of your keyboards, making them even harder to clean.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We suggest you work with your students to schedule a keyboard cleaning once a week. To do so, you just need three tools:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Microfiber cloths\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compressed air<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disinfectant wipes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start by making sure the computers and laptops are powered down. Then, have your students wipe down the surface of their keyboards with a slightly damp microfiber cloth to remove any dry or loose particles of dirt, crumbs, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next, assign a responsible student to use the compressed air to blow out any dirt and dust between the keys.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally use disinfectant wipes to give the keyboards a final wipe down to kill any remaining germs.
