Exciting Activities To Start the School Year With A Bang!

Hello and a resounding “welcome back” to all you wonderful returning teachers!

Going back to school after summer break is exciting AND stressful, both for students and teachers. In a recent survey asking teachers how they feel about the first day of school, they responded:

“Anxious about all of the unknowns the upcoming school year will bring, but excited to get to know the students and implement new ideas that the previous year birthed.”

“Like there are a million ways to be better than I was last year. It’s a little overwhelming.”

“Excited and refreshed, yet completely overwhelmed.”

But one thing that most teachers agree on, is that the start of a new year is ripe with potential and possibilities for greatness!

To start things off with a bang, we’re hosting an exciting Back To School Event on Nitro Type. If you’ve never used Nitro Type with your students to help improve their typing speed and accuracy, now is the time to try it out.

The Nitro Type Back to School event is traditionally a big deal for students, who have six weeks to race and earn exciting event achievements like specialized cars, “cash” prizes, and impressive titles like “Honor Roller” and “Graduate”. And the best part is, they’re starting the school year off the right way by building valuable skills that will take them through the rest of the year and beyond!

Of course, we know you want to control your students’ time on the track: if you haven’t heard, there is now a great new Teacher Portal that puts you squarely in the driver’s seat. The Teacher Portal ensures your students are using their time productively on the site and breaking WPM records all over the place by allowing you to:

  • Quickly see who’s racing and who may be cruising other areas via the live-activity feed.
  • Identify who has advanced and who needs more guidance by way of the reporting tool.
  • Manage how much time they spend on the track.

The back to school event starts on September 3rd, so you have time to sign up for a teacher account and get your students set up and ready to race!
